We value you as a subscriber to our digital services and hope you enjoy the quality of service that the digital set top box enables you to receive.

These boxes cost Inter Mountain Cable approximately $500 to $600 or more each. (Depending on what model the customer requests) The digital box(s) inside your home is the property of Inter Mountain Cable. It is your responsibility to insure the boxes for loss or damage. Imagine if you have to do without the digital services for some unforeseen reason that affected your control of the digital set top box. You would miss your favorite shows, movies, sporting events, pay-per-views, etc.

Equipment failure due to normal wear and tear will be repaired or replaced at the of cost of Inter Mountain Cable but other losses of the equipment are your responsibility.

Inter Mountain Cable wants to help you replace the equipment do to loss caused by damage due to theft, fire or any circumstance that causes you to lose control of the equipment.

Please review the DHCT Protection plan. Inter Mountain Cable will sell you this plan for $6.99 per month and we will replace your equipment for an insurable incident subject to a $100 deductible.

A few simple ways to keep your set-top box free from harm:

• Keep the Digital Set-Top Box in a cool well ventilated area. Excessive heat can cause a lot of damage to electronic equipment.
• Always keep your set-top box plugged into a surge protector (this is a good idea for all of your expensive electronic equipment) to prevent sudden spikes of electricy from causing damage to the box.
• Make sure the set-top box isn't sitting on top of other equipment and has a nice flat surface to sit on to prevent damage from a possible fall.
• Do not attempt to open the box to do repairs yourself, always contact a trained/certified technician conduct repairs to your electronic equipment to prevent harm to yourself and the equipment (taking the set-top box apart automatically voids the protection/assurance plan and you are then held responsible for the full cost of repairs or replacement).
• Do not keep any liquids near the set-top box such as; Drinks, cleaning supplies or near a sink or bathtub.
• Do not put anything on top of the set-top boxes. The boxes have ventilation holes to dissipate heat, if anything is on top of the boxes, they store more heat and could potentially damage your set-top box.
