We are investing in our system with the understanding that our residential and business subscribers deserve the best opportunity to receive access to digital phone service, digital cable TV and additional broadband solutions. If you have any questions concerning our Digital Transition and what opportunities it will bring our subscribers, please give us a call at 1.800.635.7052 .
This major project will give our existing subscribers unbelievable access to new digital services in the future. We will be offering additional channels to our digital television tier, both digital and high definition channels, greater broadband opportunities and a new on-demand service with over 3,000+ movies to access without leaving your couch.
“Along with the announcement of the new digital services, we are very excited with the integration of the new Video On Demand Service that we will be launching this summer as well. Also, we are exploring the possibilities of our subscribers accessing our content with your there iphone, pc or ipad, which is very, very cool.” Heath Wiley, Director of Marketing
Follow up:
Every subscriber will have to have a Digital To Analog Converter (DTA). Inter Mountain Cable will start the first installation of our Digital Transition DTA boxes in the Summer of 2011 starting at Garrett, Kentucky and is expected to take a year to completely distribute the DTA boxes throughout the system. The only ones that this transition will affect negatively are those who insist on receiving their cable TV services illegally. Once the transition is complete, all individuals that are hooked up illegally will experience television signal loss.
“The illegal aspect for our company is very disturbing and is one of the initial reasons for committing to the Digital Transition Project. This will eliminate all illegal hookups from our services and provide exceptional service to our paying subscribers” Heath Wiley, Director of Marketing
On April 14, 2011, Inter Mountain Cable, Inc. filed with the Federal Communications Commission a request for waiver of the rule prohibiting scrambling of channels on the basic tier of service. All subscribers will receive a copy of the notice and will have a chance to comment.
