This news feed reporting from www.ign.com today:
ShackNews is reporting that David Kim, a senior animator at Treyarch (the studio that developed Call of Duty: World at War), let it slip on his LinkedIn profile that Call of Duty 7 is indeed in development and will be coming to us courtesy of Treyarch and not Infinity Ward.
Kim's post on LinkedIn read, "I am currently on my second title as a senior animator in the games industry with Activision / Treyarch on Call Of Duty 7."
This should be of no surprise to fans of the series as Activision is committed to keeping to the schedule of releasing annual installments of its most popular franchises. No platforms were revealed but PS3, Xbox 360, and PC are safe bets given the history of the franchise.

Heath Wiley Comment: at I would like, "NO MORE WW2 SHOOTERS!" The have been done-to-death. I would really like to see a representation for Vietnam or the Gulf War. But now that it has been announced that Treyarch is definitely working on Call of Duty 7, it will be called "COD7: World at War 2" WOW! How original...Let me know your thoughts and what you think the new game should look like...
