Evan Daniels of Scout.com is reporting Enes Kanter has committed to Kentucky. The 6′11″ Turkish big man (No. 6 Power Forward and rated as a 5 star) has been a late arrival on the recruiting scene and originally committed to Washington way back when. But now Daniels says he has cast his lot with UK today. According to Daniels, who has been high on this kid from the moment he arrived, Kanter has the complete skill package and is a big man who can do it all. He is not really the typical Euro big man that stays on the outside. According to Daniels, he likes to mix it up down low and can be a force on the post.

A recent post on the A9VG forums has led many to believe that what you see above is the new "Valhalla" motherboard for the Xbox 360 console. Underneath that fan heatsink is supposedly a CPU/GPU combo chip that will allow for the overall size reduction of the board.
Sony was able to breathe new life into the PlayStation 3 when the company released a slimmed-down version of the console back in September, so we'd imagine Microsoft is attempting to follow suit. We'll speculate that this "Xbox 360 Slim" will go for the same price as a current Elite ($300), which itself could see a price drop when all is said and done.
I know its an NCAA day, but there seems to be a lot of scuttlebutt about UK’s biggest recruit. Jeff Drummond of Kentucky Ink reported last night that sources say Brandon Knight may have already given his commitment to UK. This news has been whispered about for a long time and while I have found no one who can confirm, Jeff is usually pretty good with his sources and one would think that where there is smoke, there could be fire. In addition, two newspapers in Florida today said that it is likely UK will be Knight’s destination.
Knight is still waiting to make his announcement on a public stage, but this is good news on an exciting Friday afternoon. If we hear anything else, we will let you know.

March 18, 2010 - GameStop isn't expecting the current shortage of PlayStation 3 and Wii consoles to end anytime soon. When asked during the company's investor call this morning, Executive VP of Merchandising Tony Bartel said he expects the shortages will continue into the summer months.
"Obviously it's a question we ask the platform holders constantly," said Bartel when asked about the shortages. "I can tell you that we do anticipate we will be in this situation, at least with the PlayStation 3, for another couple months unfortunately because we could sell a lot more hardware than what we have on both the PS3 and Wii platform.
Documentation obtained by Joystiq – and subsequently confirmed with two separate sources – reveals that "USB Mass Storage Device Support on Xbox 360" will soon be a reality. The document, authored by a senior software development engineer at Microsoft, states that due to "increased market penetration of high-capacity, high throughput USB mass storage devices, a 2010 Xbox 360 system update" will allow consumers to save and load game data from USB devices. The update is purportedly coming in Spring 2010.
Once the update occurs, Xbox 360 owners will be able to download Xbox Live Arcade games, Xbox Live Indie games, Games on Demand, DLC and Title Updates to the storage device. "USB storage devices may, however, have far greater memory capacity than MUs (at the date of writing, the largest MU is 512M
, and may therefore support previously infeasible operations-such as installation of a full disc-based title." That's right, you can also store disc-based games to the USB device; however, it will require the disc to be in the tray for authentication, identical to the current functionality.

The Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 carries the torch of the HD 5870, naming itself as the fastest graphics card ever.
According to SlashGear, who saw it at CeBIT 2010, the card comes loaded with three cooling fans, 4GB of DDR3 memory running at 1,200MHz and an overclocked GPU at 850MHz, two dual-link DVI ports, and a Mini DisplayPort. All of this amounts to a massive 3DMark Vantage score of 22,000. Compare that with its predecessor's score of 17,000, or the GeForce GTX285's score of 12,000.
Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari knows the blueprint to defeating his Wildcats, and it's not a zone defense.
The Wildcats lost for the second time in 29 games Saturday, dropping a 74-65 decision at Tennessee. Calipari was asked Monday about the zone used by the Volunteers in Knoxville, and he said it was the same one Kentucky faced Feb. 13 during its 73-62 win over Tennessee in Lexington.
