Blu-ray coming to 360?
October 22, 2009 - It seems Microsoft hasn't given up on adding high-definition disc movie playback to the Xbox 360.
In an interview with Gizmodo, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer was asked if we'll ever see a Xbox 360 with a built in Blu-ray disc drive.
"Well I don't know if we need to put Blu-ray in there—you'll be able to get Blu-ray drives as accessories," said Ballmer
"I think the future of movies is on-demand actually, as opposed to via distribution on physical media. So we're just going to keep driving forward and try to make [Xbox 360] the best overall entertainment experience, and not just gaming."
SEC commissioner Mike Slive confirmed to ESPN.com that there are eligibility issues regarding both Kentucky top recruit John Wall and Mississippi State's top freshman Renardo Sidney.
Sidney's eligibility has been discussed for months. Mississippi State compliance director Bracky Brett told ESPN.com recently that Sidney wasn't eligible to compete yet but was eligible to practice as the school and Sidney's attorney work through amateurism issues.
But this is the first time it has been publicly acknowledged that there could be a question about Wall's eligibility.
A source also told ESPN.com that Kentucky has been investigating Wall's eligibility for months because his former AAU coach was a certified agent.
**Update: to get the really fact go to the Kentucky Sports Radio Blog about what is going on with the John Wall situation and why we (UK Fans) DO NOT need to worry about this minor issue.
(Washington, D.C.) - U.S. Representative Rick Boucher announced today that, at his urging, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, through its Rural Utilities Service, is providing a federal grant to help establish high-speed Internet services in the Hurley community.
"With the federal funding I am announcing today, residents of Hurley, the Hurley Family Medical Center and the Knox Creek Volunteer Fire Department will gain access to high speed Internet services which were previously unavailable in the community. In addition, a community computer access center will be established to provide Internet access and basic computer training classes to residents at convenient times," Boucher said.
