UK is Stacy Poole's #1 Choice for 2010. Way to go Cal!
Archives for: September 2009
This might be the most wild recruiting saga, or maybe not, since John Wall. Well, I am probably exaggerating a little bit, but isn't is strange? This past Tuesday, Stacy Poole, Shooting Guard (Ranked #58 by scout.com) was all set to announce his college school - but wait a sec, ESPNUr contacted Poole and asked if he would wait on announcing his college decision on national television (ESPNU @ 5:30 p.m.)
Why is this strange? Well, the two schools that it has come down to for Poole's service is "Camelot" the University of Kentucky Wildcats and, drum-roll please, SOUTH CAROLINA?! SOUTH CAROLINA? I guess. You would think this was the signing of Tobias Harris (Ranked #7 Power Forward) or Harrison Barnes (Ranked #1 Center/Power Forward) and the it was a three-way battle between UK, Kansas and Duke.
All I can say is, "Welcome to UK Stacy!"
But, why is ESPNU putting so much attention on this signing? Don't know. Just seems kinda surreal, if you ask me.

September 16, 2009 - Perhaps the most enticing item from the Modern Warfare 2 Xbox 360 bundle announced yesterday is the new 250GB hard-drive that it comes with. Currently, the highest limit size available for retail is 120GB. But those hoping Microsoft will eventually release a separate 250GB hard-drive to sell will just have to keep waiting.
Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb clarified during a promotional video, bluntly saying "This hard-drive is not being sold separately."
Of course, this doesn't mean Microsoft won't eventually upgrade the current Xbox 360 hard-drives, as they have done so in the past going from 20GB to 120GB over the past four years.
Update: PlayStation 3 (Rumor) Uncharted 2 PS3 Bundle with 250 gig hard-drive maybe coming as soon as October! Let the console wars start all over again!

Today, many Kentuckians are facing financial hardships as a result of the downturn in the economy. Many older Kentuckians are on fixed incomes and there are also many families who have lost jobs or income who for the first time face financial challenges. For many low income Kentuckians, there is help to stay connected through programs known as Lifeline and Link-up.
The qualifications for Link-up and Lifeline are the same. You can qualify if you presently receive Food Stamps, Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). You may also qualify if you receive Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), National Free School Lunch or live in Federal Public Housing/Section 8.

When Director of PlayStation Network Operations Eric Lempel uses the term "imminent," you know that things are about to go down... and they're about to go down quick. In a recent post on the official PlayStation Blog, Lempel notes that the latest firmware update for the PS3 will be available "shortly." This update, which was first discussed indepth at Gamescom, will bring new avatars, dynamic themes, a redesigned status indicator and more to Sony's console. Sounds quite intriguing.
At the time this article was published, the firmware update was not yet available, but we predict that it will be ready for download sometime this evening. After all, it's "imminent."
UPDATE: Firmware 3.00 is now available. Turn on your PS3 and let the magic shower over your system.
