After months of speculation, Variety is reporting that the Alien prequel is definitely on, with original Alien helmer Ridley Scott set to direct.
Twentieth Century Fox has also hired Jon Spaihts to write the script, which will precede the first Alien. Annoyingly the report doesn't go into any more detail about the plot.
Spaihts has also worked on the upcoming sci-fi Shadow 19 starring Keanu Reeves, and will rewrite Timur Bekmambetov's The Darkest Hour.
It is the first Alien movie Ridley Scott has been directly involved in since the original, with Carl Rinsch previously linked to direct the project.
I really love fan-made videos that get you PUMPED UP FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON! This one is no different...so lets meet the 2009-10 Kentucky Wildcats!
So by now most of you know that there is a serious football story going down. The last 24 hours have seen what has become the norm for most stories in the internet age. The internet sites and the message boards are abuzz…the mainstream media is (understandably) silent. There are a lot of stories running around and some are false, some have grains of truth and some may be dead on. While there is still a lot we dont know, here is what I think can be said with some certainty:

During Apple's Q2 earning report, Apple's CFO, Peter Oppenheimer responded to persistent rumors of an Apple-branded netbook, stating that the company had "some interesting ideas in [that] space." However, Oppenheimer was careful neither confirm nor deny any possibility of Apple bringing such a product to retail in the near future, still, that hasn't stopped the rumor mill from churning fervently at the prospect. Today the internet was ignited yet again with Apple Netbook fever when a report from China Times stated that several Taiwanese manufacturers have begun producing components for a forthcoming Apple netbook set to debut this fall.
If you havn't checked them out yet, McCoy Motorsports has collection of motorcycle accessories, helmets, clothing and Joyner's in Eastern Kentucky. Guess what, they are located right here in Pike County. Check these AWESOME video's out!
It is a commonly shared opinion that Michael Gilchrist is the best high school basketball player in the country. Not in his class. In the country. Gilchrist, a 6′6″ shooting guard who plays for St. Patrick High School in New Jersey (Derrick Caracter!), ranks as the top player in the class of 2011 and was named as the “Most Promising Prospect” at the NBA Top 100 camp before wowing scouts (at least ESPN’s) with his talent and effort yesterday at the LeBron James Skill Academy. And, he’s a legit 2011 prospect. He’s 15.
If you all are a big fan of "Will Farrell" like I am, you will definitely get a kick out of his appearance on "Man vs. Wild" this past week! AWESOMELY FUNNY!
The biggest rivalry news of 2009-10 is that the rivalry in college hoops isn't so hot -- at least in relation to its own molten standards.
Duke-North Carolina will still make a whole lot of people hyperventilate when they play two or more times this season. But not the way basketball fans will lose it in the state of Kentucky (when Louisville plays the Wildcats) or in other parts of the Southeastern Conference (when Tennessee plays Kentucky) or in the Big Ten (when Michigan State plays Purdue). Right now there are at least three rivalries you have to rank ahead of the annual Blueblood/Eight Miles Apart/Roy versus K hypefest.
Simply put, that rivalry hasn't been competitive enough in recent years. And the two teams probably aren't as good as recent vintage, either. Which is why this is a fine time for sporting America to broaden its regular-season scope beyond Tobacco Road and notice the red-hot rivalries that will be burning down the house elsewhere.

New York native Doron Lamb says Kentucky is his leader, which is good news for the Wildcats.
The 6-foot-4, 175-pound Lamb told Jeff Goodman of FoxSports.com that he’s “still open”, but that Kentucky “is at the top.”
He recently took an unofficial to Lexington.
“It was a great experience,” Lamb, the No. 5 point guard in the Class of 2010, said at the Paul Pierce Skills Academy in Boston. “The fans go crazy. I hung out with the coaching staff, John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins, and got to see the practice facility.”
This is a kid that we need to get with Will Barton (the #1 Shooting Guard for the class of 2010) and his brother have chosen to attend the University of Memphis.
Lamb has also visited Louisville and told Jeff he’s also considering Kansas, Oklahoma, Marquette and UConn.
Poor reviews haven't affected the box office for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen it would seem, with the big-budget sequel set to become the highest grossing film of the year by Friday.
Only Angels and Demons stands in its way at present, and with that film on $469m globally thus far since May, and Transformers already on $448.4m, the picture is doing mega business in all territories.
"It is holding incredibly well despite a heatwave in Europe and some kids only getting out of school now" Paramount President of International Distribution Andrew Cripps told Variety. "As sequels and franchises go, there is a lot of goodwill for Transformers."
