This is a public service announcement from Judge R.D. Doc Marshall. Judge Marshall wants to inform you that the county (Floyd County) has declared a "State of Emergency" due to the flooding throughout Floyd County. County and state officials are on scene and are assessing damage throughout the county. Officials are award of water lines being out throughout the county and electricity is currently out at Little and Big Mud Creek and Left Beaver. AEP is currently working to restore power to these areas.

If you have damage to your home or property due to flooding, please call the Floyd County EOC at 886-0926 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. If you are in danger and need immediate evacuation, please call 911.

Judge Marshall also advises that the following feeding stations have been opended: Rock Fork Church in Rockfork and Maytown Methodist Church in Maytown.

Judge Marshall emphasizes the importance for your safety not to attempt to cross flooded roadways.
