Wiley vs. The Bull!
I tell you what, "Hillbilly Days 2009 was a BLAST!" I would like to thank all the interested customers, Chamber of Commerce and East Kentucky Exposition Center for making Inter Mountain Cable so welcomed during the three day event. I hoped everyone like our coverage for the event, Adam and I spent many hours taking pictures and video to help document this years event. You can still visit the site by clicking on the button posted on the front page of our IMCTV website.
This video is pretty cool... it is title "Wiley vs. the Bull" where I try my best to stay on this thing for eight seconds, watch and see what happens, it isn't pretty!

New Calipari/UK Commercial
You always know that UK Fans are the BEST in the world! And now, by the release of this video, YOU CAN SEE WHY! This is surely something special to watch!
Happenings with UK B'ball
Here is some interesting news that is happening around Calipari and the UK Basketball Program courtesy of Kentucky Sports Radio.
- DeMarcus Cousins - Ray Melick of the Birmingham News has an interesting story today about UK-bound big man DeMarcus Cousins and the bad reputation he’s gotten from some people in his home state of Alabama. Melick writes that those close to Cousins feel that he’s been unfairly “trashed” on local radio shows and poorly labeled for changing his college choice twice. That type of negativity, along with not even earning Alabama’s Mr. Basketball Honor, might have been just enough for Cousins to leave the state for college, Melick says.
- This past weekend, Dominique Ferguson was scheduled to visit the Vols in Knoxville. Ferguson has opened up his recruitment since Calipari arrived and it looks like Bruce Pearl has attempted to jump in and make a steal. This is not confirmed and I would welcome any proof one way or the other, but as for now, it looks as if ol Rocky Top may be a contender for the one Gillispie recruit from the future that Calipari does want.
- Eric Bledsoe, the self-described “2nd round pick” for Kentucky in its PG sweepstakes decided to skip his visit to Kentucky this weekend. He had originally been scheduled to come to UK on Sunday after the Derby Classic, but did not make the trip. One Kentucky and one Cincinnati site are apparently reporting today that he instead made a detour to Cincy for a visit with the Bearcats. After talking with Eric this weekend, it was clear to me that the kid likes Kentucky, but he doesnt like not being the top choice behind John Wall. It looks like the Cats are putting all their eggs in the Wall basket, a decision that will look golden if he commits to the Big Blue.
Hillbilly Days 2009 Is Here!
Here we go! It's time for the 27th Annual Hillbilly Days in Pikeville, Kentucky. Inter Mountain Cable would like to invite everyone out to our booth on April 16th thru April 18th, 2009. Our AWESOME Inter Mountain Cable booth will be completely interactive (Digital Phone, Digital Television and High Speed Internet Demonstrations)
Plus, Inter Mountain Cable will have a TON of items to be given away during the event. We have pens, 16 oz. cups, and much, much more. We will also have hats and t-shirts during the 2009 Hillbilly Days. We will be taking $5 donations for both the items and donating the proceeds to the local Shriner's Hillbilly Clan and Relay for Life. These are both really GREAT organizations and need our help (We have limited shirts and caps, so come by and get one as soon as you can)
Microsoft's Major Nelson announced that Microsoft is extending its Xbox 360 three year warranty to cover the E74 error message that has recently begun to make headlines. This does not change the length of the warranty which will remain at three years.
Microsoft has determined that the E74 error message is another indication of the general hardware failure that normally results in the flashing of three red lights. Microsoft will pay for E74 error repairs on consoles still under the three year warranty and reimburse anyone who already paid for a related repair.
Here are the details, direct from Microsoft:
The team is aware that a very small percentage of our Xbox 360 customers have reported receiving an error that displays E74 on their screen and after investigating the issue, we have determined that the E74 error message can indicate the general hardware failure that is associated with three flashing red lights error on the console. As such, we will be covering any repairs due to the E74 error message under the three year warranty we announced related to the three flashing lights error, as well as reimbursing any customers that have already paid for an E74 related repair. This applies to new consoles for the original retail purchaser, whether purchased before or after this change.
